Noah's birthday...

This goofball turned EIGHT!!

Birthday breakfast in the birthday bowl!

I put 8's all over our front door so Noah would see them when he got off the bus.  He had no idea what they meant! I thought it was self explanatory but it confused our neighbor too!

Noah and his "hockey rink" cake!

Have you ever seen anyone so excited about a cub scout shirt?

Getting the game he wanted!  He almost passed out from excitement!

The boy and the goods!!  It was a great birthday!
My oldest is EIGHT!!  Isn't that just nuts?!?  He is such a wonderful boy and every so often I catch a glimpse of the man he will be.  He is so kind and loving to me.  He compliments me often which makes this tired mom feel better!  I always say that we are making all of our mistakes with Noah so we won't screw the others up as much.  But Noah is wonderful in spite of all of our shortcomings.  He is so special and I am so glad Heavenly Father gave me such a great kid to start out my journey as a mom!  I just love him to pieces!

Noah's extra special day!

Noah turned eight and made the choice to be baptized!

We are so proud of Noah's decision!

We have the BEST family ever!

Grandma made Noah a really special wall hanging showing the armor of God!  We love it!
When Noah was born I dreamed of all the things he would do when he got bigger.  I dreamed about this day and it felt so far away....but it came in the blink of an eye.  Noah turned eight years old this spring and made the choice to be baptized.  We are so proud of the boy he is and the young man he will become.  Noah is gaining a testimony and we love watching him grow and make good choices.  We were lucky to have such wonderful support from family and friends on his special day.  I hope this is the first of many special days in Noah's life as a member of the church!

Eli turns ONE!!

Sleepy boy on his birthday morning

I can't believe I have been kissing this face for a whole year!!

Eli's birthday cake!  I think it may be the best cake I have ever made!

The birthday boy and his cake!

He loved his cake!

Yummy frosting!
I honestly can't believe my baby is one!  There are no words to describe what this past year has been like.  Eli is a choice blessing and came to our family when we needed him most.  He is a miracle to us and we are thankful every single day for the chance to raise him.  He is so naughty and into EVERYTHING.  He challenges my patience...A LOT...but...I wouldn't trade him for anything!  He is truly such a joy and we love him so very much!

Aidan's 5th birthday...

The birthday boy and his dinner of choice: pigs in a blanket and peas!

Yet another dinosaur birthday cake!
The birthday boy and his cake and loot!

Aidan turned five this year!  I cannot believe how fast the time has gone!  He is such a wonderful little boy.  He is so smart and continually amazes me with the things he learns.  He is still all about dinosaurs...although he is adding king cobras and sharks to the list!  I love his crinkly nose when he smiles and his funny personality. He brings so much life to our home and we are so glad he is ours!

Talia is six...

This pretty girl turned 6 years old!!

Cake and presents for the birthday girl!
Talia turned six years old this year!  You honestly couldn't find a better girl in the whole world.  Talia is my right hand and I am so glad she is in our family.  She is kind and helpful.  She has a contagious laugh and the best smile.  She loves to learn and is a teachers dream.  We are just so proud of the girl she is!  Our lives would never be the same without our little Tally girl!  We love her so so much!

Asher Jack turns 3...

I will never know how I forgot to post Asher's birthday pictures. Please don't judge me! Asher turned three and we just love that kid. He is our little rollercoaster. When he is happy he is HAPPY and when he is upset he lets you know LOUDLY!! He has a million dollar smile and the cutest little voice. He has a pretty adorable little lisp which I hesitate to correct...yet! He has been a joy from the minute we brought him home!! Happy birthday sweet boy!

Turkey trot...

I am extraordinarily behind...I am also very forgetful. I realized that I had missed a whole bunch of pictures from November. NOVEMBER! I know...it is sad. My brain is gone. I blame the kids. Anyway, here are some pictures I would hate to forget.

Noah ran in the school's annual turkey trot race. Last year he came in nearer to the end. Not this year!! This year he was focused...trained a bit on the treadmill...and listened to Dad! He came in fourth! Only one place away from winning a pumpkin pie for the family. He was so proud of himself and we were darn proud of him too!!

Sleepy baby...

Eli was so tired and being the good parents that we are, we recorded this video and giggled instead of putting him to bed! I just love this kid!!

Happy New Year...

The kids BEGGED to stay up until midnight! Asher was out by ten, Aidan made it until 10:45 or so, and the big kids lasted all the way until twelve! Talia was uber grumpy and Noah was tired but excited to have made it! We drank yummy sparkling cider with my parents and then put the kids to bed. I am not sure if it will ever happen again because the grouchiness that came the next day was not fun at all!

Best little brother...

Eli is the world's best little brother!! If you don't believe me, you can ask his brothers and sister. They just love him so so much. I guess when you are this cute it is hard not to have a fan club!

Eagle scholar...

Talia earned her first award in Kindergarten back in November and it was a good one!! She earned the Eagle Scholar award which is for the most outstanding student in her class. Her teacher said she is a dream and she wishes all her kids were just like Talia! We are so proud of how well she is doing! She really is such a great student! Here is the video of her receiving the award from her principal!

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y...

Today Talia had her first experience with cheerleading and she LOVED it! She had a mini cheer camp and then got to perform between the JV and Varsity basketball game. It was so fun to watch! She was so brave and had so much fun! I think Nate would prefer if she stuck with sports but she sure loved this little bit of girly stuff! We are going to try a dance class on Monday. I figure since she is my only girl I better make the most of it because Star Wars and football is only fun for so long!

Too funny...

Don't pass out! I am actually blogging! Here is a funny little video that was too good not to share! I think the Grandmas will appreciate it! I think I may qualify as mother of the year for my time out methods!

My big kindergarten girl...

My little girl is growing up too fast! Seriously...someone stop her!! I asked...well begged actually to have her stay home with me but she said NO! She is so excited to be able to go to school and learn how to read. She is so smart and I am so excited to see how fast she picks things up! She is in a class of mostly boys which makes me nervous! This girl loves to visit and play with the guys! I am just hoping she makes at least a couple of girl friends this year. She was jabbering to the boys in line with her and wasn't nervous at all! I think she is going to love school!

It begins...

Here are two of my babies all ready for school! Noah is in second grade and Talia is off to kindergarten!

First day of school...

The kids started school yesterday and I don't think they could have been more excited! They jumped out of bed and squealed all morning long. Noah was full of advice for Talia and she was just eating it all up! It was a fun and wild morning! The bus was a few minutes late and they were so anxious for it to come. They kept asking how much longer at least a dozen times so I was glad to see the bus come around the corner! They have great teachers this year and I can't wait to see what they will learn! I just can't believe they are getting so big!

Holding their new baby...

The kids were so excited to hold their new little brother! They can't wait to bring him home! I am so glad they are happy. It was such a fun moment!
